11 February - Day in History of India and Importance



1527 - Babur declared battle against Rana Sangram Singh

1713 - Jahandar Shah, the defeated Mughal Emperor was put to death by Farrukh Siyar, son of his brother.

1755 - Marathas and English men attacked the men of Angre in Gheria Port. McFarlane describes him as pirate. Robert Clive was part of this adventure in English team.

1818 - Britishers captured Ajinkyatara fort of Marathas

1933 - First edition of weekly Harijan edited by Gandhi published.

1959 - Vinoo Mankad played his final test.

1968 - Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, President of Bharatiya Jan Sangh and advocate of Integral Humanism found dead in a train.
