20 May - Day in History of India and Importance


1378 - Daud Shah assasinated Mujahid Shah to become the fourth Bahmani Sultan.
1399 - 1399 - Sant Kabir was born
1498 - Vaso Da Gama reached Calicut  by travelling on the sea. The European to find a new sea route to India.
1677 - Shivaji won the fort of Jingi
1915 - Gandhiji founded Sabarmati Ashram.
1976 - Oil production was started from Bombay High.
2014 - Narendra Modi was elected as the leader of BJP Parliamentary Party in the 16th Lok Sabha. Modi met Rashtra Prati and staked his claim for PM post. President invited Narendra Modi to become the PM. Modi will take oath on 26 May 2014.
