1663 - Shivaji attacked Shahista Khan
1919 - First Indian Flag Merchant Vessel S.S. Loyalty sailed from Mumbai to London
1930 - Mahatma Gandhi reached Dandi.
1949 - Indian Boy Scount and Girl Guide were established.
1957 - Communist party government was installed in Kerala State.
1961 - IDPL was established in Delhi.
1964 - National Maritime Day celebrated for the first time to  commemorate the first journey of the First Indian Flag Merchant Vessel S.S. Loyalty which sailed from Mumbai to London on 5 April 1919.
