9 February - Day in History of India and Importance



1757 - Treaty Between Siraj-ud-Daulah and Robert Clive. British were allowed to safeguard their fort and open mint.

1931 - A set of six stamps were released during the inauguration of New Delhi as the capital of India. It was shifted from Calcutta.

1946 - Demonstration were held against trial of INA men. Mutiny in Navy in Mumbai harbour.

1951 - First census of free India started.
