The printed Indian History both due to space limitations and also as it was developed by the writers of an alien regime, have de-emphasized the military victories and resistance of Hindus throughout the period when foreigners ruled some parts or large parts of India. But, the Hindu military chiefs or common people always fought back and defeated the foreign armies in many battles and reestablished the rule of natives in many parts of the country and maintained their independence for long periods of time.
